Dilan Kochhar

I'm Dilan. I'm 20. I build the things I wish existed.

I grew up in New York and live in Tampa, a sophomore at the University of Tampa. Self-taught. Nobody told me I was allowed to start a company, so I started one anyway. Before the code, I co-founded the Kochhar Foundation, a charity that has raised over $22,000.

I got into this because I watched smart, capable, hardworking friends flounder trying to find their first real job out of college. Career centers were useless. LinkedIn was a popularity contest. I figured someone should fix it. Then I figured: why not me.

I design and code everything I ship. I don't outsource the parts I'm bad at. I just get less bad at them.

Ask me what I'm good at and I won't hand you a tech list. I'll talk about product sense, agents that do real work, full-stack ownership, growth engineering, and design as code. Then I point at the project where each one had to prove itself. That writing lives on the work page.

How I work

Skills are verbs. They only count when something ships.

On Dilly, that means Expo, FastAPI, Postgres, Claude and GPT in a dual-route system, Stripe, and a voice coach that has to be safe enough for a student's real resume. On N+1, it means programmatic SEO, a prospector that starts from live ATS boards, and outbound drafts that aren't a prompt playground.

Client work is the same standard with a different surface: Erickson and Sigma are lead machines dressed as brand. Taken Time is taste under constraint. AKPsi was org product, directories, donations, hire-our-members, before I had a SaaS to point at.

I'm not interested in looking technical. I'm interested in being useful. The long version of every skill, what I did with it and why it mattered, is written out on Work → Skills by project.

What I believe

LinkedIn does not help you get a job. No one does.

Speed is the only moat that compounds.

If you can't ship it solo, you don't understand it yet.

Career centers are the next industry to be replaced.

Being 20 is an advantage, not a disclaimer.

Design is the part of the code most engineers refuse to learn.
